Almost 4 years ago, I changed my lifestyle. A "side effect" of that lifestyle change was a slow steady 80 pound weight loss over 2 1/2 years. A few of the principles I follow are:
1. Reducing stress
2. Enjoying life.
3. Eating low glycemic foods
4. Not starving myself.
5. Getting a good night sleep.

I did many non standard things to lose weight.
1. Weighed myself only once every few months
2. Drastically reduced my hours of watching TV.
3. Practiced stress management techniques like yoga.
