Well looking at that, I think if you made some adjustments, you could probably burn 10 pounds easily.
Breakfast: If you are going to eat cereal in the morning, eat the cheerios with a sugar substitute and with non-fat milk. Eat a small portion only.
Snack: Eat cottage cheese and fruit or some yogurt. This will tide you over til lunch.
Lunch: Instead of a bagle sandwich, have a half of a sandwich with the same amount of meat and stuff you would a whole sandwich. Use a whole wheat or a grain bread for this. The apple is good!
Snack: Instead of cookies, (I am sure this might be hard to do at the beginning, but remember it does get easier) have a protein bar or some non-starchy veggies. If you are craving sugar, go with a low-cal, low-carb frozen yogurt. That will curb the sugar craving and possibly get the ice cream craving gone for the evening too.
Dinner: Meat, potatoes and veggie is good. Cut back on the portion sizes and make sure you are not eating a starchy veggie with a potato. Too many carbs. Also, if you are using a sauce, try and use very little or none at all. Instead of using butter, maybe use a potato topping instead. There are some really awesome ones out there. We use the spray butter and then a potato topping that has all sorts of spices and bacon bits and such in it. It is low cal, low carb and low sodium. Yahoo.
Snack before bed: If you must have this, then eat something with a higher protein count than carb count. This is where I eat a protein bar or drink a protein shake. I use to eat popcorn right before bed but when I switched to the protein bar, I started losing an average of 1 pound more per week. Not exactly sure why but have read that if you eat protein before bed, your body uses it instead of storing it. You could also eat stuff like beef jerky or turkey jerky or cottage cheese, etc.
I eat turkey jerky and beef jerky a lot. It is an excellent source of protein and tastes great. We make our own so it doesn't have as much sodium as the prepacked stuff. There are a ton of recipes on the net on how to do it in your oven. That is how we do it.
HOpe that helps!
