Hi Kristine,
I also take some drugs for depression and for Bipolar Disorder. The drug I take for Depression is Wellbutrin. It does cause weight loss. Zyprexa can cause weight gain. I was put on a drug this past year that also causes weight gain called Abilify. So far I have gained 15 pounds. It has counter-acted with a drug that is called Topomax which I take that causes the body to lose a lot of weight. :( You mentioned that you took Paxil. It caused me to gain weight as well. I gained 35 pounds on it. I would rather lose or maintain the weight I was at. Now I am down again about my weight. That is great you have stopped snacking at night. That does help. It is a culprit for me. I seem to crave carbs at night time. Hope you are doing well.

: For the past 13 years I've been on different
: anti-depressants. The 3 that caused
: weightgain were Klonopine, Paxil and
: Zyprexa. Basically I've yo-yo'd around all
: these years. For a year and a half I was on
: Zyprexa, I gained 50 lbs. I started on
: Wellbutrin in mid November 2004 and have
: lost 16 lbs. but I also cut way back on how
: much I was eating at night and stopped
: snacking, I think that has contributed.: Kristine
