Fitbit Charge 6
Solid fitness tracker with Google integration
The Fitbit Charge 6 brings Google Maps, YouTube Music control, and improved heart rate accuracy to Fitbit's popular fitness band lineup.
Accuracy Testing
We tested against a chest strap during runs and strength training. Heart rate accuracy was within 3-5 BPM for steady-state cardio - impressive for a wrist device. Less accurate during HIIT.
Daily Use
7-day battery life holds true with normal use. Sleep tracking is comprehensive. The side button returns (thank goodness) after the Charge 5 removed it.
Google Integration
Google Maps turn-by-turn directions on your wrist are genuinely useful. Wallet integration works seamlessly. Requires Fitbit Premium (/mo) for advanced insights.
Pros
- Accurate heart rate for a wrist tracker|7-day battery life|Google Maps and Wallet|Comprehensive sleep tracking|Physical side button
Cons
- Fitbit Premium pushes /month|No built-in GPS (uses phone)|Screen small for notifications|Google account required
Our Recommendation
Best mid-range fitness tracker for those in the Google ecosystem. If you want built-in GPS or larger screen, consider the Pixel Watch instead.
